Synopsis

A CHOICE OF DOOMS! When a known criminal arrives in Gotham City, he is promptly captured by Batman. During the confrontation, Batman is surprised to get help from the Phantom Stranger, but no sooner than he notices, the ghost is gone. Taking the criminal to the GCPD Headquarters, Batman promises him protection from his associates if he reveals vital information. The criminal agrees, but when he is bound to make his confession, he becomes paralyzed with fear and he can't bring himself to speak.  The authorities are baffled, but Batman once again meets the Phantom Stranger, who gives him a clue of the reasons behind the criminal's situation. The man is being controlled by voodoo magic and Batman goes to the place of Kaluu, the leader of the criminal organization. In the apartment, Batman finds a voodoo doll of the criminal with a pin in the neck, but without any official warrant, Batman is forced to leave the place.   Afterwards, Batman takes the incapacitated criminal to the Batcave, where at first he tries to make the man confess his crimes by inducing fear on him. When this tactic fails, Batman proceeds to give the man courage and strength to overcome the voodoo magic and the man can finally regain control of his own body.   After learning the truth from the criminal's confession, Batman proceeds to attack Kaluu at his place and with help from the Phantom Stranger, they manage to defeat most of the criminals. Kaluu then tries to use the voodoo magic on the Phantom Stranger, but he is killed by his own tricks.
